  I've definitely seen worse, but this movie does indeed suck. However, it is very creative and I love stop animation so you kind of won me over in that department. I think you need to work on character development a bit. Also figuring out a better way to have two different kinds of worlds run parallel with one another and interact would help. I love when movies do that. David Lynch comes to mind with the red room. It's kind of like Greek mythology where one story plays out and we learn the characters are just pawns in a game of the gods. Not sure if you were going there with this movie; those subtitles could have said anything! Also, the image that played during the credits was phenomenal. What the hell was that? Very cool visual. read

  I thought this was a creative little film. the claymation was simple but cool all the same. the initial shot entering the bathroom bothered me a little. i'm guessing that the actor was also the cameraman. don't get me wrong, if that was the case, it works, i personally would have preferred a full shot of the actor in the mirror. your right, the subtitles are a strain on...   Well, what can I say. I was just getting into the brain and the eye talking and getting angry with each other, but then the whole bathroom scene with the eye in the sink happened. And why does he eat the eye? I just don't get it. I can forgive a lot of things, but with shorts, you don't have time to lose an audience, especially not at the end. And you totally lost me there...   This one of the rare instances that I have to totally agree with the producer about his short and to quote "It sucks." It's hard to get interested in reviewing a short that the producer doesn't like. I confess to dosing off a couple of times during the playing of this short. I think that gave me an even better opinion than had I seen the whole piece. Maybe you'll get serious...   Well, nice opening sequence to begin with. (SPOILER ALERT FROM NOW ON!) I really enjoyed the well achieved sense of perspective. But after that I have to say I found myself getting confused. One thing that didn't help much where the very small subtitles whose reading was an overwhealming task in itself. The idea of the brain and the eye talking to each other (and eventually... Well, nice opening sequence to begin with. (SPOILER ALERT FROM NOW ON!) I really enjoyed the well achieved sense of perspective. But after that I have to say I found myself getting confused. The idea of the brain and the eye talking to each other (and eventually fighting) was a clever one. The animation was well done and when we finally get to the climax... well that was cracking man. As for the sucking, I finally understood what you meant. Tough staff being an editor isn't it. Interesting story I say. Your camerawork was ok, not exactly perfect but you know one thing or two about camera movements. Editing, too worked. I wish the aspect ratio would have been different. Best of luck. read

  I found this film surprisingly creative. This kind of thing is what the digital age of filmmaking is about - using the minimalist of equipement and creating something wild and funny. This short is both. I saw lots of good horror elements in the beginning featuring a cool evil character with great costume. Then the film takes a surprising turn into the filmmaker's editing room...but... I found this film surprisingly creative. Then the film takes a surprising turn into the filmmaker's editing room...but then yet another surprising turn into the inside of his brain! Nice job with the stop motion animation there. Then the film gets comically gory and at that oint I was laughing out loud. Excellent job with the chosen locations - sound design is a standout as well. It really gives this short it's dark comic feel, and because of it you never take any of the gross stuff happening seriously, leaving the viewer free to laugh. I dig this one. read

  Pretty deranged and very unusual. While not exactly slick and super-professional, it entertained me and was pretty amusing. Deserves some kind of applause as it must've taken a fair amount of hard work to put all of the different elements together. The horror movie that he's editing, although pretty cliched and generic, has a nice feel to it and some effective sound design... Pretty deranged and very unusual. Overall, although I wasn't blown away by this film, I appreciated the enthusiasm and wacked sense of humour. And I can relate to the eye character. Poor little sod. :) read

  I really dug the inside of the brain part. And I got into the film part too. As you already know the subtitles are tough to read but it's also shrunk to 1/10 it's normal size on my screen. My main feeling was that the two didn't jive well together. I liked the concept but the acting in the movie that's being edited seemed better than the acting in the editor part. I would have... I would have been way more into in had the editing part seemed more believable and the fake movie part been more over done. In general I liked the concept and the movie was cool. I just think there were certain strong points that didn't mesh well. read

  Really good stop motion animation, I might say. The concept is okay, fusing an editor's world into the movie he's editing. But I don't get the This Movie Sucks concept because the movie within the movie is not as sucky as to drive an editor to pop his eye out of the bag and eat it. Eeew. (I've been a jaded moviegoer for some time now so anything makes me feel eeew I embrace... Really good stop motion animation, I might say. The concept is okay, fusing an editor's world into the movie he's editing. But I don't get the This Movie Sucks concept because the movie within the movie is not as sucky as to drive an editor to pop his eye out of the bag and eat it. Eeew. (I've been a jaded moviegoer for some time now so anything makes me feel eeew I embrace. Thank you.) Yes, the subtitles, do something about it, dude. Don't tell me I'm not missing anything because I strained my eyes trying to read it, i almost ran to bathroom afterwards to pop my eye out and eat it. Overall, this movie is decent. This filmmaker should explore more his animation talent. read
