  Overall, I liked this film. It's not particularly kind to women in implying their double standard, but is probably accurate. And all the more amusing for it. Technically, the film had some weak spots, particularly the audio. It sounded like the dialog was badly post-dubbed rather than recorded live. I don't know for certain that is the case, but there was definitely something... Overall, I liked this film. I don't know for certain that is the case, but there was definitely something funky about it. The actors' performances seemed competent, but were sabotaged by the poor sound mix.
  
  I also didn't understand the point of bookending the piece with the train sequence. What did it add to the story? Where was she going? Was it the same night?
  
  Still, this was a clever, if flawed, little film. read

  The sound was a bit weird, like sometimes you heard that wind sound from the mic, and once there was a train going by the house when you changed to a different shot and the train sound just stopped immiedly.. Also it's a bit to dramatic, the violin sound near the end was to loud and dramatic.

  Certainly redefines the term "painfully awkward". I liked the content of the film, as the title of the review says, I think it was a "nice" fil.. Nothing spectacular, but I don't feel like I was cheated out of 6 minutes of my life either. It was enjoyable, I laughed at how the woman reacted when the guy said he was seeing someone. Nothing spectacular, but I don't feel like I was cheated out of 6 minutes of my life either. It was enjoyable, I laughed at how the woman reacted when the guy said he was seeing someone.
  
  Technically I was disappointed. Not at the camera-work, which was good by the way. But at the sound. The rain noise sounded more like there was a running tap inside the same room rather than the weather, in fact, I wasn't even sure if it was meant to be rain in the first few minutes of the film. There were a few "pwofs" of the personal mics where the actors pronounced their Ps too loudly putting me off a bit.
  
  But seeing as the film was shot in 3 hours I have to applaud you in speed. It was quite a lot and well done for only 3 hours shooting time.

  This short works well in terms of atmosphere, and the pacing of the dialogue is good. The script isn't too bad at all, with nice touches such as the '41 days' cue, that hints at what is to come. My problem with the piece is that Mikhail is simply not a strong enough actor to carry off such a personal and intimate scene. The nuances of sarcasm and timing are lost and there is... This short works well in terms of atmosphere, and the pacing of the dialogue is good. The script isn't too bad at all, with nice touches such as the '41 days' cue, that hints at what is to come. My problem with the piece is that Mikhail is simply not a strong enough actor to carry off such a personal and intimate scene. The nuances of sarcasm and timing are lost and there is a distinct lack of any chemistry between the two as a result. This is crucial in drawing the viewer to understand the emotional bond that leads to the denouement. However, the camera work was good and the editing was well suited to the piece. Not sure why it was topped and tailed with a train scene, but that's not too important. Overall, it was a decent film with plenty to it's credit. read
