• Bio: Skip Shea is an artist, actor, performer, poet and writer from Uxbridge, Massachusetts. In 2010 he co-founded Harvest Tide Productions LLC, a company that develops and produces new media projects in varying genres. The first is the horror short written and directed by Shea called Microcinema. It has been well received by the horror community with great reviews including 8.5 and 9 star ratings by Gruesome Hertzogg and The Conduit Speaks horror blogs respectively. The second that is ready for production is also a horror web series called Longreach. Others in various stages of development are Lotus Star a New Age comedy and a soap opera being co-produced by Bella Books. He also has a feature length screenplay Today I Took The Train, a fictional drama that is based on the lives of clergy sexual abuse victims, including Shea. He has written and performed a one man show called Catholic (Surviving Abuse & Other Dead End Roads) chronicling his life as a survivor of clergy sexual abuse, the death of his daughter and his road to wellness. The show opened in December 5, 2005 in New York City. He also written, directed and produced five short films Mail, Video Diary: Last Entry, They Serve Breakfast Here All Day Long, Putting On Its Shoes and Choices. Mail was selected for the invite only 11th annual Pawtucket Film Festival. He took the runner-up award in the comedy short screenplay competition for his script The Bar at the 19th Annual Woods Hole Film Festival. The Bar goes into production in September of 2011. He can be seen in the films like Richard Kelly’s The Box, Lasse Hallström’s Hachi: A Dog’s Tale, Ang Lee's Taking Woodstock and Martin Scorsese’s Shutter Island. He was also in William Smyth’s Labor Day, which screened at the 2010 Rhode Island International Film Festival. His artwork has been on display in places like the As220 in Providence, The Warwick Museum of Art, The Center for Peaceful Living, inc. and chezTGN in Brooklyn, NY.
