8 mm would have given this film a childlike/more memorable look. i thought DV made it bland and wished there was some sort of production/color design. the kid had a good face and i didn't mind the roaming POV camera or narration but visually i was craving more. not a bad effort though but in need of a little more producition value.

Cool mood. Thought Mr. Williams had the Tim Burton thing going for him. The score was great. Can't believe the rats behaved as well as they did. Wasn't crazy about the husband character. Thought he might have been a little miscast. Perhaps too young.

I doubt Mr. Parsons actually has the rights to the song in his short film. Nonetheless, it's definitely a great tune and provided some funny moments with the tiki birds. Unfortunately, I think the visuals needed to climax as it progressed. Still, a cute, funny idea.

Mr. Faux has certainly come up with a colorful zany script. I liked the black and white news reel footage and the discussion of cigarettes. It's a funny prelude to the new dimension. Having the computer screen pop up in frame was quite an idea by Mr.Branit. And, I also think the rest of this film was executed in a timely, and precise fashion. Unfortunately, the philosophical tendencies didn't resonate within in me. Than again, it probably just wasn't my speed. Could also see this as a commercial if you focused more on the comedy.

WHAT IS FEAR? has every suspense trick in the book down cold. And, I know the director said this was a low key shoot but he had some hard core incredible sound design going on.
